If the first thing that crossed your mind when woke up this morning, is that you know everything which you are supposed to know, then you have a problem. A problem which may seem to be small, but it is humongous. You can never know everything you should know, and if you think you do, they you are being ignorant. Ignorant to learn new things, ignorant to be a ‘learner’ as a whole.
Our life revolves around a fixed routine. Especially if you are working more than regular hours, you really have very less time left for yourself to learn new things. But if you don’t force yourself to seek out time, maybe an hour everyday to read or research a few new things, you will become stagnant. We are like corporations. We start small, and should scale fast, and then we plateau. When you think that you are not growing anymore, get out of your comfort zone, and start doing something new. If you do not evolve or change with time, you will be replaced.
The world is changing everyday. Every minute there is a something revolutionary coming up. Siege the day. Siege the opportunity. Keep learning. And when you feel that you need that extra motivation, remember one thing – It is difficult to reach to the top, but it is much more tough to stay at the top. There are hundreds and thousands of people who are working hard, when you are not. So keep working hard, and keep learning!
Ignorance is not Bliss! Not any more.
